I dabbled in swimming, running, and triathlons before finding CrossFit in 2018. I must admit, before trying it I doubted the CrossFit methodology. I had no real exposure to the sport and was surrounded by people who were dismissive of it . In June of 2018, a friend wanted to try it so I dropped into a class with her. After my first class I was hooked! I fell in love with the community and how hard the workouts pushed me. I had no prior weightlifting experience, so I found the process of learning new movements challenging but extremely rewarding. I love how there is always something new to learn and improve in the gym. More importantly, I love the people. The best times at the gym are when I get to cheer on others while they crush their goals. CrossFit has introduced me to some of the most incredible people, and that is what motivated me to start coaching. As a coach, I aim to help the RSHP members achieve their fitness goals and foster the community I fell in love with when I started CrossFit.
